Big Potato Cards vs Gravity

A card-balancing game you play on a bottle. Stack cards on a magnetic platform until someone knocks them over.

$13.59

You attach a magnetic disc to the top of a bottle, then take turns stacking waterproof cards on it. First person to knock the pile over loses. Games run about 15 minutes. Works for two people or up to eight. The cards are waterproof, so you can play around drinks or outside without worrying too much. You do need to supply your own bottle — glass works best, according to Big Potato. Not a dealbreaker, but it's not completely self-contained like a typical card game.

Why it works

  • Short rounds make it easy to squeeze in before dinner.
  • Waterproof cards hold up better around spills and outdoor play.
  • Small box is easy to bring to someone's place.

Who it's for

  • Someone who likes quick party games that don't need a table.
  • A couple or small group looking for something different.

What to know

  • You need a bottle to play — it's not included.
  • Glass bottles work best for the magnetic base.
