Bodum
34oz Assam Glass Tea Press with Stainless Steel Filter
A glass teapot with a plunger that stops steeping when you press it down. For someone who makes tea most days.
$24.99
This is a 34 oz glass teapot with a plunger mechanism. You add loose-leaf tea or tea bags, pour hot water, and press the plunger down when you want to stop the steeping. The filter stays submerged but stops extracting, so you get more control over strength without fishing out an infuser mid-brew.
The glass body is borosilicate, so it handles heat fine. The whole thing is dishwasher-safe — lid, plunger, filter, all of it.
Not for coffee. Bodum says the filter doesn't handle grounds well and you'll end up with sediment in the cup.
Why it works
- Press the plunger to stop steeping without removing anything.
- Works with loose-leaf or tea bags — no format commitment.
- Dishwasher-safe, including the filter and lid.
Who it's for
- Someone who drinks loose-leaf tea regularly.
- A tea drinker tired of guessing steep times.
What to know
- Don't use it for coffee — the filter isn't built for grounds.
- Glass body, so handle it carefully around the sink.
