JBL Go 4 Bluetooth Speaker
A palm-sized Bluetooth speaker with a carry loop. Loud enough for a picnic, small enough to toss in a bag.
$49.95
This is JBL's smallest portable speaker. It's about the size of a deck of cards and weighs less than half a pound. There's a built-in loop so you can clip it to a backpack or hold it while you walk.
It's IP67 rated — you can use it by the pool or at the beach without worrying. Battery lasts up to 7 hours, though that's at moderate volume. Crank it and you'll get less.
Sound is fine for background music or a small room. It's not going to fill a backyard party, but that's not what it's for. You can pair two of them for stereo, or link more via Auracast if someone already has one.
Charges via USB-C. No aux input, so it's Bluetooth only.
Why it works
- Small and light enough to carry everywhere without thinking about it.
- IP67 waterproof — fine around water and sand.

Who it's for
- Someone who wants music at the park or beach without lugging something big.
- A college student who needs a speaker for their dorm room.
What to know
- Battery life is closer to 5 hours if you turn it up.
- No wired audio input — Bluetooth only.
- It's small. Don't expect it to sound like a bigger speaker.
